Philly Sound Sessions
is a platform for Songwriters and Producers to connect and showcase their
music. This is a monthly event held every first Thursday at The Voltage Lounge (421 N 7th St,
Philadelphia, PA). Each month we feature a few hot upcoming producers and
songwriters (all features are hand picked and promoted throughout the month)
plus we allow other songwriters and producers showcase their music as well.
Producers come
prepared with up to 10 minutes of music (3-5 songs) to showcase and Songwriters
have the choice to either perform some of their material or have us play some
of their already recorded tracks. Feel free to give details on what the songs
are about, how it should feel and tell story behind music (if applicable).
During the event songwriters can set up meetings with producers for more
songwriting sessions.
Artists feel free to attend this event if you are in search of a
producer or songwriter!
There will be a live band available for those that want to show
their songwriting abilities on the spot, or for any artist’s in the building
that are feeling the vibe and want to hop on stage and show their skills. Think
of it as a jam session!
ALL music of the evening will be original music from registered
producers and songwriters. Split sheets will be available for those who may
want to handle their business on site. We strongly prefer registered (BMI,
ASCAP, and SESAC) producers/songwriters however will not turn away those who
are not.
Next Philly Sound Sessions will be held on THURSDAY FEBRUARY 7th and will feature R&B,
Soul, Hip Hop and Pop tracks.
